The North Face Video Contest Winner
Congrats to Brandon Chiesa. He'll be walking away with 2 setups from The North Face's Cryptic Series.
Keep the edits coming. We really enjoy watching your banger tricks, hilarious crashes, random chairlift monologues and parking lot musings. For the weekend, we're planning on having close to 45 features in the ground at South, Bear and The Arena.
Happy Holidays.

South is opening this Saturday with at least 10 jibs to top bottom. Put together your best edit from Opening Weekend and you could win some new gear from The North Face. We're not talking beanies and stickers. We've got 2 complete setups (pants and jackets) to giveaway from the Cryptic Series.
You'll have a week to edit something together. Don't go crazy, but make it good. Submissions are due by Saturday, December 18th. The North Face and secret ninjas at Mountain Creek will choose the winner based on creativity, riding style and baller song choice.

Work It Out Trailer
Meathead Films came through last spring and got some banger shots on Canyon (yeah, we said Canyon), the quarterpipe and other random spots throughout the park. Some are saying it ranks among the best trailers this season.
From record-breaking 5 foot blizzards in Washington DC to 10 inches of rain in New England, Meathead Films spent the winter of 2010 scouring the East Coast on the hunt for epic days. No matter the weather, the crew was forced to roll with the punches and just work it out. Tag along as their relentless search takes them to the craggy White Mountains backcountry, back alleys of Maine, custom park jumps in New Jersey, and even to the “Far East” of Hokkaido, Japan on their first ever overseas voyage. Filmed in High Definition, 16mm and Super 8mm film, Work It Out showcases the spirit, creativity, and unwavering determination it takes to be an Eastern skier.

Awkward Stockpile Climbing
I thought it would've been a good idea to climb it so you could gauge its size. Stupidly, I didn't think of how difficult (and scary) it would be to get down. Get ready for some awkward climbing.
FYI - Details on the setup will be posted later this week.

Hometown Heroes
Sean Neary and Alexa Cerra took home 1st place for the 10-11 year old division in slopestyle. JT Bingler secured 3rd place in the Youth 14-15 year old division. Stephen Cerra qualified for boardercross and is also an alternate in the slopestyle division. While they’re not old enough to see a rated R movie un-chaperoned, they’ll be traveling out to Copper Mountain on April 3rd to compete in the 21st Annual National Championships. Wish them luck! -Halley

3rd Rail Recap

The 3rd Rail was beastly. Huge contest, on snow DJ, graffiti artists, emcee battle (congrats A. Class), tons of people, followed by the after party of the season featuring Slick Rick the Ruler.

Over 130 skiers and riders came out to compete on what could have been the best course Mountain Creek has ever had. Props to the Park Crew for the time, effort and attention to detail spent on the setup.

The level of riding was unmatched. Many said they've never seen a final with so many technical tricks landed. Congrats go out to our 3rd Rail winners:
Tara Eminson, Girls
Sean Neary, Juniors
Dhane Knakkergaard, Skiers
Tim Kempson, Best of Breed

Thanks to all that competed, watched, worked, sponsored or spent time with us on Saturday. Check out the Rapid Play from the 3rd Rail below and we'll see you next season for more of the same. -Halley

Tons of prizes will be thrown around. Not competing? Come hang out anyway. The on-snow DJ and graffiti artists will keep you busy between park laps.
