The Not-So-Legendary Banked Slalom



This past weekend we took a trip back in time to 1987 in celebration of 25 Years of Snowboarding (1987-2013) at the resort. It was a weekend filled with mullets, mustaches, methods and plenty of vintage style. The high point of the weekend was the first annual Not-So-Legendary Banked Slalom event. Under sunny skies and classic spring riding conditions over 100 RADically dressed competitors took to the course of banks, berms, rollers and booters. Racers were judged not only on their time but also their overall style, and the tight and technical course quickly separated the pretenders from the contenders. It was an awesome display of carnage and style as the riders put it all on the line for glory. While the poachers trained up for some epic snake runs through the course. When it was over here’s how the winners stacked up:
